Digestive Nausea – How to Avoid and Relieve Digestive Nausea!

November 13th, 2009

Digestive nausea is something that just shouldn’t be the norm in anyone’s life. I can understand being nauseated if you have the flu or something, but to have it on a regular basis is wrong and can be prevented. So why put up with it?

In this article I am going to share with your what to do about nausea and how to eliminate constant non-flu related reoccurences.

If you are suffering from nausea on a regular basis, something is out of sorts with your entire digestive system. But, before discussing a comprehensive approach to eliminating digestive nausea, allow me to give you some things that will work for immediate relief.

What You Can Do When Digestive Nausea Strikes!

1. Drink peppermint tea. Peppermint tea has been used for hundreds of years for nausea relief. The great thing about peppermint tea is that it is natural and safe, unlike many of the over the counter drugs you can take for nausea. You can also try peppermint oil. Both of these can be purchased at just about any store and certainly at your health food store.

2. Try fennel tea. This is another age-old remedy that may help you with your nausea. Fennel tea can also be found at most stores.

3. Avoid taking vitamins and other supplements when even a little nauseated. Supplements are notorious for causing an upset stomach. I know, I know, you want to take them to keep healthy, but taking them while nauseated is a recipe for a trip to the bathroom (with head in toilet).

4. Get yourself a wedge pillow for sleeping. When I was experiencing long-term, daily nausea, this is what I did. It really helps to keep your stomach and stomach acid down. So take advantage of gravity when you have digestive nausea.

5. Keep moving, if you can. Lying down and becoming immobile may be necessary in extreme cases of digestive nausea, but if it’s not too bad, it’s much better to stay upright and keep moving. In mild cases, taking a casual walk will sometimes be all it takes to start feeling better.

Okay, the above should help you out. But why not take a more comprehensive approach that will give you lasting relief at the core. Learn how to eat and what to eat to bring total digestive health and solve all your digestive problems.
