No one in this world is satisfied with how tall he/she is, unless he/she is a seven footer. We all try to find ways to look taller as we have a mindset which tells us that the taller a person is, the smarter he/she looks. It may be true or it may be not, but the fact is that we want to be taller. There are several ways to go about it. Most of it is common sense but to make optimum utilization of that common sense you need to have some basic understanding s with subordinating measures. Let me explain in easy terms.

Stretching exercises as we all know is the key to the lock called growing taller. Running, swimming, cycling or playing any sport stimulates your growth hormones and makes you slightly taller no matter how old you are. Exercises also make your posture better, which adds on to your height. However, to get full benefit of your exercise routine, it is important to take into account your dietary habits. A good diet will add fuel to your growth process. Here’s an account of what you can do in order to get those nutrients flowing in your body smoothly.

There are some food items, which are directly responsible for your growth. These are milk, yogurt, and a limited quantity of cheese, whey protein and boiled chicken. These food items are beneficial to the muscles. Nutrients good for the bones are calcium, phosphorous and magnesium. You must take a good intake of these nutrients through fruits and some meat items.

Some foods you need to stay away from are foods, which contain a high level of fats and carbohydrates. Stay away from junk food or aerated drinks. Furthermore, alcohol or any other intoxicant should be avoided as they kill cells in the body resulting in damaging the growth process.
